WGVU's Next 7 Days

These next seven days are going to fly by, and before we know it we will be enjoying a night at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. We are talking about The Great Wine & Food Symposium of course! D&W Fresh Market Stores and WGVU have been working harder than ever to make this one of our greatest events of the year. Obviously a wide selection of wine and food will be available, but to add to that there is a wide selection of beer to sample from, along with live music played by musicians from Grand Rapids! As a reminder, the event runs from 7:30pm and will end around 10:00pm. If you have any questions about the event, or are looking to still get your tickets, our staff would love to talk with you and help you. Contact us at 800-442-2771 or visit the event’s page at wgvu.org/gwfs. Tickets are also available at all West Michigan D&W Fresh Markets.
Of course, until The Great Wine & Food Symposium, you will be looking for other things to do. Thankfully, WGVU has many can’t miss programs airing this week. Sunday night, the Masterpiece Classic, Downton Abbey, Series II – Part Seven will be airing at 9:00pm. This is the series finale, and the family will be gathering at Downton Abbey for Christmas. The re-run will be Sunday the 26th at 3:00am. Another can’t miss program airing this week is Nature: Ocean Giants/ Deep Thinkers/ Voices of the sea. Here, scientists will use the latest technology to understand the lives of whales and dolphins. This scientifically intriguing program will be airing on Wednesday at 8:00pm.

I Directed a Promo!

As if my position at WGVU couldn't get any better, I was offered the opportunity to direct four promotional videos for kids programming on WGVU. With the help of my friends Buddy the Dinosuar from Dinosaur Train, The Cat in the Hat, and Caillou (not to mention a very talented leading lady), we were able to pull of some very cool spots.

I would very much appreciate your input! Here is the first promo, and feel free to watch it and let me know what you think!

Thank you for your interest, my intrepid and loyal readers!
